The Lisbon-based Structured Products Trainee is part of a global sales workforce responsible for selling Structured Products and Derivatives Products to clients accustomed to trading standardized products on a reverse inquiry mode. The role includes assisting and supporting front office members, and focusing on automation and transformation projects.

Your Main Activities

Pre-Trade Tasks

• Interact with Sales to finalize Clients’ onboarding
• Prepare marketing documents/pitches/emails in coordination with Sales
• Complete trade approval process with necessary channels prior to initiating trade

Post-Trade Tasks

• Finalize booking of traded deals
• Interact with internal stakeholders and clients regarding any traded deal
• Manage a database of trades in inventory

Digitalization / Transformation

• Continuously escalate feedback and improvement ideas to increase workflow streamline
• Contribute to the development of the Bank’s tools to enhance
  - trade and
  - trade processes and systems
• Suggest and drive digitalization projects and implement them

• Assist Sales in processing client requests about Structured Products and Derivatives
• Price (or liaise with Structuring to price) requested products

Profile and Skills to Success

• Engineering, Finance or Economics Bachelor Degree mandatory
• Interest in Financial Markets (with focus in Derivatives and Structured Products)
• Multi-tasking and methodological skills with high attention to detail
• Adaptability and resilience
• Ability to develop and leverage internal networks
• Innovative mindset, good communication skills, proactive attitude
• Excellent fluency in English
• Computer skills: Office Suite; coding skills like VBA & Python

About The Team

The Lisbon team is organized in
- scopes, servicing different EQD Sales desks across geographies of the global EQD franchise. For this position, the candidate will work within the EMEA EQD Distribution Team, primarily covering UK Markets.
