Style Supervisor (Housekeeping)
POSITION SUMMARY
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. , after being cleaned by Housekeeping to ensure quality standards. Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms. Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments. Communicate issues to the next shift. Complete required paperwork.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniforms and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally with others. Develop and maintain positive working relationships; listen and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns. Ensure adherence to quality standards. Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance; in excess of 55 pounds with assistance. Push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and machinery over uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods. Handle objects of varying size and weight with fine motor skills and
- eye coordination. Use computers and point of sale systems to enter and locate
- related information. Read and verify information in various formats. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or G. E. D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None required.
