Job Description
This role involves central controlling of the global supply chain network and related logistics costs. Additionally, you will support controlling activities at Manufacturing Plants located in Portugal, China, Mexico, and Germany, collaborating closely with local management personnel across all controlling aspects. The role also includes liaising with other controlling functions, such as Business Unit Controlling and central controlling teams, and managing interactions with management.
Responsibilities include:
- Controlling the global supply chain network and associated logistics costs, including support for manufacturing plants in Portugal, China, Mexico, and Germany.
- Reporting on overall logistics costs by region and in consolidated views, analyzing costs and results, identifying underlying drivers and KPIs for the supply chain and manufacturing plants for various stakeholders.
- Coordinating and proactively steering key controlling processes, especially regular forecasts and budgeting with regional logistics controllers and manufacturing plants. Supporting
- end closing activities. - Preparing, maintaining, and improving reports and dashboards; conducting data analyses and simulations related to freight and duty costs as needed.
- Ensuring governance over global logistics and manufacturing plant controlling processes, with continuous process improvement focusing on harmonization, efficiency, and transparency.
- Setting up and tracking improvement initiatives and measures.
- Participating in various analyses, projects, and supporting special inquiries and
- making processes.
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree focused on Controlling, Logistics, Data Science, and preferably Finance/Accounting.
- Experience in logistics.
- Excellent English skills.
- Ability to work independently, being
- oriented,
- driven, proactive, and highly motivated to advance the business. - Strong
- player qualities with the ability to collaborate across different entities and stakeholders. - Well-structured, analytical working style, capable of handling large datasets.
- Expertise in Excel; experience with reporting tools such as BW, Power
BI, Think-Cell, or Planning Analytics is preferable. - Experience with SAP and related systems like Business Information Warehouse is advantageous.
