Supply Chain Manager
EMEA Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a global manufacturing company in the search for a Supply Chain Manager to join its production facility in Porto, Portugal.
This key site leadership role is responsible for driving service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the
-
- end supply chain - from order management and planning to procurement, logistics, and team development.
Key responsibilities as Supply Chain Manager include:
- Lead all Supply Chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure
- time,
- full delivery performance - Oversee inventory and capacity planning, balancing demand with optimal cost and efficiency
- Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for sourcing and process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop and mentor the local Supply Chain team, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Deliver regular performance reports and KPIs to track efficiency, service, and cost optimisation
The ideal candidate profile:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a production or FMCG supply chain environment, with proven leadership ability
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAP and Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, with a
- on,
- solving approach - Proactive mindset with a focus on results, efficiency, and process optimisation
- Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages are an advantage
