We are looking for an Amazing: Support Engineer SQL
Seniority: Middle senior
Type of position: Remote ONLYin PORTUGAL. (Only residents in Portugal can apply).
The amazing you, will have:
Provide support and maintenance for SQL Server databases , ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
Work with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) , SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) , and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to deliver reporting and BI solutions.
Support data modeling, cube design, and calculations using DAX.
Assist in database migrations , upgrades, and integration projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL queries, stored procedures, reports, and integrations.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database operations.
Document technical solutions, processes, and best practices.
Contribute to monitoring and improving system performance and security.
Requirements
Proven experience as a SQL Support Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and related services ( SSAS, SSRS, SSIS ).
Hands-on experience with DAX for calculations and business logic.
Experience in database migrations and integration projects.
Solid troubleshooting and
- solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in
- functional teams.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of networking and security principles.
Experience with
- based SQL services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc. ).
Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization (PTO) for SQL queries and indexes.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
