Job role
As part of the Global Sustainability (GS) team at Allianz, you will join an international team of sustainability and business integration experts and work in the team responsible for Sustainability Engagement and Steering. The role focuses on strengthening the steering of sustainability targets and implementing sustainability through integration with Allianz operating entities (OEs).
What You Do
- Actively support Allianz operating entities (OE) in identifying value and impact of Sustainability initiatives for the business, identify areas for improvement, specify requirements and implement recommendations to deliver on committed strategic Sustainability targets
- Develop and implement OE engagement opportunities to embed sustainability internally and make it relevant across the entire Group
- Create awareness of sustainability strategy and targets, increase literacy of sustainability across the OEs
- Develop and prepare internal communication for Sustainability Leads and OE Board members responsible for Sustainability
- Conduct analytical research/benchmarking and translate best practices into key insights
- Monitor, analyze and interpret Allianz Group’s Sustainability KPIs with a strong focus on key actions across all business segments and functions
- Ensure high quality reporting to the respective governance bodies including Board of Management, Group Sustainability Board and Sustainability committee
- Strengthen the auditability of the processes by ensuring

- date documentation and identification of controls for own processes - Support activities focused on greenwashing mitigation by ongoing reiteration of existing processes/definition of new processes as needed e. g. in relation to external sustainability commitments
What You Bring
- Strong skills in project management
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills in a
- cultural environment, with ability to engage with people at all levels across the organization - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pro-active and independent working style while still able to collaborate and influence
- Can-do attitude, solution and impact oriented
- High analytical skills; capacity for understanding complex concepts
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on different work streams
- Highly structured and organized, with ability to adapt to a
- changing environment - Self-driven, curious, motivated by continuous learning
- Academic background in business, economics, insurance, sustainability, or similar subjects
- 5+ years insurance business experience (e. g. , Finance, Underwriting, Product development, Sales, Market Management). Sustainability knowledge is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; German or another European language is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Power
Point, Excel) - Experience in data analytics (e. g. , Power BI) as well as Project management tools and SAP is a plus
