Responsibilities

• Writing timely, accurate news stories using journalistic storytelling principles
• Conduct outreach and research via traditional communication and social channels
• Collaborating with editorial team to curate a feed of informed, relevant topics that reach for audience interests
• Maintain an understanding of key trends and entities in the industry to backstop the development of featured content
• Develop & maintain an online footprint commensurate with a serious journalist
• Develop and maintain relationships with contacts via social and traditional channels

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of journalistic experience with at least 1 year reporting on the gambling industry
• Knowledge of the gambling industry and key entities in primary locations (Sweden).
• Bachelors in Journalism, Communications, Or similar degree or experience
• A track record of creating timely, accurate, and insightful news
• Ability to work in a
  - paced environment
• English and Swedish as primary languages
• Organised,
  - motivated, and
  - oriented with a strong work ethic
• Meticulous attention to detail through proofreading and editing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized expertise in finance, business, legal, game theory, or data reporting
• Experienced researcher and problem solver
• Connections within the industry for access to quotes, thought leadership
• Unique adjacent perspectives - pit boss, poker player, handicapper etc.
• A knowledge panel
