Responsibilities
- Develop and govern resilience strategies that span system architecture, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Define and track stability KPI’s such as MTTD, MTTR, and error budgets, partnering with performance and operation teams to meet or exceed targets.
- Design and implement fault‑injection testing, chaos engineering practices, and scenario‑based simulations to validate platform robustness.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, architecture and development teams to redesign services with built‑in redundancy, fail‑over, and graceful degradation.
- Drive automation and observability improvements to reduce noise, increase fault detection speed, and support predictive failure mitigation.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan, ensuring Io
T systems remain resilient. - Own the resilience roadmap, continuously assessing emerging threats, technologies, and architectural shifts to guide the evolution of stability practices.
- Evangelize a culture of resilience through internal communication, workshops, and post‑incident learning programs.
- Deliver new capabilities and services efficiently while continually enhancing the resilience, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness of our Io
T platform. - Focus on delivery: consistently meet or exceed delivery expectations, ensuring the right customer experience and tangible business outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships: foster trusted, transparent, and outcome‑driven relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
- Support capacity planning and ensure platforms can cope with new product deliveries.
- Communicate effectively during incidents and planned changes and report progress to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Dev
Sec
Ops, information security and system monitoring tools. - Experience with high‑availability system design, chaos engineering principles and proactive failure mitigation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Power
Shell, Perl or Go. - Hands‑on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Deep knowledge of SRE principles, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, automation and toil reduction.
- Experience defining meaningful SLIs building dashboards that drive actionable insight.
- Strong command of telemetry, logging and alerting stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk).
- Ability to balance operational stability with delivery velocity.
- Excellent communication skills for technical, business and senior management audiences.
- Strong planning, time‑management and ownership mindset.
- Willingness to learn, autonomy and ownership.
- Experience with ISO 22301 and disaster recovery planning is a plus.
