System Tester - Functional Safety (f/m/div. )

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and automated system tests for safety PLCs.
• Create and maintain test documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Organize and track test activities, support defect management and issue analysis, set up and maintain test environments, and resolve technical issues independently.
• Conduct performance testing, analyze results, and present findings to project teams.
• Provide 3rd‑level support for colleagues and customers.
• Assist and mentor engineers and interns in using automated test solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and system testing.
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e. g. , EN 61508, EN 13849, EN 62061) is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial automation technology, especially programmable safety controls and safety field buses (e. g. , FSo
  E, PROFIsafe).
• Basic understanding of motion control applications and servo drives.
• Experience with test automation, scripting, and manual testing.
• Application knowledge of drive‑based safety functions is desirable.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Structured, detail‑oriented, and proactive in problem‑solving.
• Team player with strong communication skills and a passion for innovation.
