Tax Analyst
TAX ANALYST
We are currently seeking to recruit a Tax Analyst. The purpose of this position is to carry out and control the company's IVA and Income TAX activities in accordance with the local law and procedures, in observance of Embraer Group standards and the procedures in force.
The role is based in Portugal.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and tax obligations, guaranteeing the accuracy of tax reports and compliance with dates and local rules;
- Carrying out and controlling the company’s tax activities in order to prepare tax information, draw up reports and ensure compliance with tax obligations;
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT and returns, Income Tax, Stamp tax and others when applicable;
- Ensure the integrity of the VAT and income tax statements of subsidiaries, branches, or affiliated companies, drawing up discrepancy reports and ensuring their rectification where applicable;
- Ensure that the existing parameterizations in the companies' ERP are in line with local practices;
- Keeping up to date with local legislation and providing adequate communication of changes to management areas and other teams when necessary;
- Ensuring the correct accounting for the purchase of materials, assets and services, in order to guarantee that the accounting and fiscal part correctly reflects local practices and complies with applicable legislation;
- Ensure the correct treatment analyzing deductibility of transactions in the income tax process;
- Monitoring the company's mailbox with the local tax authorities;
- Be diligent and maintain 'professional skepticism' when performing and supervising the activities and processes under their responsibility, including but not limited to: (i) maintaining focus and attention to the accuracy and validity of the data under analysis, (ii) requesting additional documents when necessary to carry out these analyses, (iii) identifying, communicating, escalating and assisting in the resolution of possible risk situations ("red flags") and/or problems related to compliance with the Company's policies and procedures. Diligence and 'professional skepticism' must be applied even if there are reviews and approvals prior to the analysis being carried out;

- mentioned responsibilities, the role must fulfil other, unspecified fiscal responsibilities necessary for the pursuit of the objectives of the work team and/or the organization.
PROFILE OF THE SUITABLE CANDIDATE
- 3 to 5 years’ experience Tax accounting and regulatory compliance, preparation, submission of tax returns and tax compliance reports (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Stamp Duty, etc. );
- Postgraduate degree or Master’s in Taxation, Accounting, Finance or Management;
- Strong math and organizational skills with great attention to detail;
- Relevant knowledge of IFRS and international taxation;
- Ability to work in a team within an international environment;
- Communicative and approachable,
- Fluent in English is mandatory, ability to speak Portuguese is a plus or any other European language is of great advantage;
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office;
- SAP ERP system skills will be valued;
- Communicative and approachable.
