Role summary
King-'s College School, Cascais, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is a leading international school in the Lisbon area. We offer a global education through the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, complemented by a bilingual programme in Portuguese and English for students up to Year 5. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Drama (Primary School) to join our KS2 team from November 2025. The successful candidate will be part of the
- college Performing Arts team, contributing to productions, performances, and creative projects across the school.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Drama across the Primary School, delivering engaging and imaginative lessons that build confidence, creativity, and collaboration
- Contribute to the
- college Performing Arts programme, supporting productions, plays, assemblies, and events - Use drama to nurture personal expression, communication skills, and teamwork among younger learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across year groups and departments to create enrichment opportunities
- Promote the values and ethos of King’s College, modelling professionalism, enthusiasm, and creativity
The ideal candidate will have
- A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching Drama at Primary level, ideally in an international or bilingual school
- A genuine passion for Drama and the Performing Arts, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working as part of a Performing Arts team
- Commitment to nurturing creativity, confidence, and the holistic development of students
