We are seeking a passionate and well‑qualified English teacher for our Senior School, to deliver engaging lessons, promote literacy and critical thinking, and contribute to pastoral and co‑curricular life.

Role Summary

Deliver inspiring and interactive English lessons; plan and implement high‑quality schemes of work; assess progress; create inclusive environment; use ICT; collaborate with colleagues; participate in co‑curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring and interactive English lessons that support and challenge all students.
• Plan and implement high‑quality schemes of work aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress, ensuring strong academic development.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Contribute to pastoral duties and the holistic well‑being of students.
• Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote best practice and consistency.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities, clubs, and school events as part of community life.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE, or equivalent) and a degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
• Strong classroom practice and the ability to secure good progress for all learners.
• Outstanding organisational and planning skills.
• A positive, flexible attitude and openness to innovation and development.
• Experience with IGCSE and/or IB programmes (highly desirable).
