Team Leader for Physical Logistics (f/m/div.)
Job Description
We are looking for a Team Leader for Physical Logistics — a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and leading a large, multi‑shift team. You will play a central part in shaping the plant’s logistics strategy while guiding, developing, and motivating a team of more than 60 associates working in a 4‑shift model.
Your mission is to ensure flawless execution of physical logistics processes, strengthen collaboration across the organization, and cultivate a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Your contribution to something big:
- Contribute to defining the logistics strategy for the plant supply chain, ensuring alignment with operational goals and global standards while engaging your team in its successful implementation.
- Lead a team of 60+ associates across a 4‑shift model, ensuring strong communication, clear expectations, and consistent performance across all shifts.
- Inspire, coach, and develop your team members to take ownership of their responsibilities and grow their professional capabilities.
- Identify and promote lean solutions that advance process excellence, support innovation, and reduce waste within logistics operations.
- Coordinate process audits and ensure adherence to standards, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
- Build strong cross‑functional partnerships and communicate effectively to ensure smooth coordination and support innovation.
- Develop and empower your team to manage core physical logistics processes:
- Shipping
- Internal transportation
- Packing formatting pool
- Raw materials supply to final assembly
- Inventory management
- Oversee logistics KPIs/KPRs, providing leadership in performance management, root cause analysis, and the execution of impactful improvement actions.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Education & Experience:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in:
- Warehouse operations (picking, packing, receiving);
- Inventory control;
- Shipping & transportation coordination.
- Bachelor’s or master degree in:
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management;
- Industrial Engineering;
- Operations Management.
Know‑how:
- Kaizen / Continuous Improvement.
- WMS / ERP systems (SAP).
- Data analysis tools (Excel/Sheets, Power BI).
Languages:
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Personality & Leadership Style:
- A strong people leader capable of managing, motivating, and developing a large team across multiple shifts.
- Excellent communicator, able to maintain alignment and consistency in a 24/7 shift environment.
- Collaborative and approachable, fostering a team culture based on trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and proactive in problem solving.
- Confident in decision‑making and able to manage complexity and fast‑changing priorities.
- Driven to challenge the status quo, encourage innovation, and promote operational excellence.
