Tech Lead – Cloud & Data Engineering (AWS-focused)
We are currently looking for an experienced Tech Lead to guide a
- impact data engineering team, with a strong emphasis on
- based architecture (primarily AWS) , scalable data solutions, and modern data pipeline orchestration.

- on mindset when it comes to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and architecture design. You will work closely with product stakeholders and engineers to turn business needs into technical deliverables and ensure the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our data ecosystem.
Your Mission
As Tech Lead, your responsibilities will include:
Designing and overseeing the implementation of distributed data solutions hosted on AWS (and occasionally Azure), with a strong focus on modularity, performance, and
- efficiency.
Building and maintaining robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools like AWS Glue , Lambda , Step Functions , and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow .
Structuring databases and data models to optimize for performance and queryability, using relational engines such as Redshift , Postgre
SQL , and My
SQL , while also leveraging Athena for data lake querying.
Taking ownership of the technical strategy , ensuring alignment with business requirements and overall data architecture.
Driving production reliability , monitoring, and debugging using services like Cloud
Watch , X-Ray , and Cloud
Trail , promoting a proactive troubleshooting culture.
Mentoring and guiding a small team of data engineers, ensuring high standards in code quality, documentation, and deployment workflows.
Participating in the definition of technical specifications , reviewing requirements critically, and suggesting innovative and scalable alternatives.
Producing clear technical documentation and facilitating knowledge transfer across the team.

Data modeling : Iceberg (experience with Iceberg or similar table formats is a big plus)
Monitoring & tracing : AWS X-Ray, custom logging solutions
Bonus tools : Azure Databricks, Kafka, Apache Flink (optional but appreciated)
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a candidate with:
- on experience in data engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or tech lead capacity.
Deep familiarity with AWS cloud platforms , including
-
- code principles, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.
Solid experience designing and optimizing ETL pipelines , working with big data volumes , and understanding the nuances of data consistency and ACID compliance .
Strong coding background in Python and excellent command of SQL for complex queries and performance tuning.
A good grasp of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups).
Ability to turn business logic into technical flows , split work among the team, and ensure delivery with high quality.
