What will be your role

We´re looking for a Tech Lead - Data Engineer to join a strategic data transformation project for a prestigious client in the bank sector. In this role, you will lead a core team, providing both technical direction and people management.

You will be responsible for guiding the migration to Databricks, optimizing data pipelines, implementing data catalog strategies, and ensuring efficient integration with SAP S/4HANA systems and APIs. You will work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data professionals;
• Define and drive best practices in data architecture and engineering on Azure;
• Support the migration to Databricks and implement the data catalog (Unit Catalog);
• Oversee ETL processes, particularly using Azure Data Factory and Python;
• Evaluate existing solutions and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and
  - efficiency;
• Advocate for and implement robust data governance and security practices;
• Collaborate with multiple teams and vendors to ensure alignment and delivery;
• (Ideally) bring Fin
  Ops awareness to optimize and manage cloud costs;
• Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

What should you bring to the team?

• At least 3 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Data Engineer with team leadership responsibilities;
• Strong experience in Azure cloud services, especially Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and other
  - related components;
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation;
• Proven ability to manage and grow a
  - performing technical team;
• Critical thinking and technical autonomy to challenge decisions and propose improvements;
• Experience working in Agile environments;
• Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English;
• Availability to work in a hybrid model;
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous learning;
