We’re working with a global tech firm that’s scaling fast—and this time it’s all about the web application. They’ve already got a presence in Portugal and are now building a
- performing engineering function in Porto. They’re not just filling roles; they’re investing in
- term careers and building something with substance.

This role is at the core of that plan. You’ll lead a small
- stack squad delivering key features across their
- facing platforms. You’ll still be coding (around 30% of your time), but your bigger job will be setting standards, coaching engineers, and helping shape the technical direction for the platform.

The role is a great mix of leadership and
- on engineering. You’ll work directly with the product team, help make architectural decisions, and be a key voice in a company that still builds things properly. You’ll help set the tone for how the team works, how they communicate, and how they ship.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a
  - stack squad building web apps in Type
  Script, React, and Node. js
• Designing scalable architectures for a serverless AWS environment
• Converting business requirements into working, maintainable systems
• Improving CI/CD pipelines and delivery metrics using
  - based development
• Supporting your team through mentoring, pair programming, and code reviews
• Championing clean code,
  - driven development, and pragmatic delivery

What you’ll bring:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead role
• Commercial experience with React, Type
  Script, Node. js, and My
  SQL
• Confidence with serverless architectures and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• A working knowledge of DORA metrics and how to improve delivery through data
• Strong communication skills and a calm, coaching approach to team leadership
• Experience running agile ceremonies and working closely with product teams
• Based in Portugal (Porto preferred) and happy with 3 days/week onsite
