VWFS Porto is a VWFS AG IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a
- term Business & IT company. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing and maintaining contract management systems and another IT projects in other areas. Our focus is on:
Core systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also extends to integrations, data, and large project organizations. For this we seek a
- on Oracle Developer who will integrate our BI team and will work on an international team.
Objectives:
As Technical Application Manager you are responsible to ensure the stability, compliance, and continuous improvement of
- critical applications within the VWFS IT landscape. Acting as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, the role is responsible for defining and validating infrastructure and operational requirements, coordinating technical changes, and ensuring adherence to architectural and security standards. The position also plays a key role in IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), monitoring, and testing, while supporting the strategic evolution of applications through optimization initiatives and stakeholder collaboration across global subsidiaries.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Specify, validate, and ensure implementation of technical and operational requirements;
- Coordinate and manage resolution of technical findings, patches, updates, and certificate renewals;
- Review implementation alternatives and ensure compliance with architecture principles, developer guidelines, and corporate standards;
- Ensure the availability and approval of complete and

- date technical documentation;
- Support the development and alignment of the technical application strategy;
- Identify and drive implementation of technical optimization opportunities;
- Participate in and lead meetings related to change requirements, advising IT Service Managers and business requesters;
- Evaluate and support the implementation of functional requirements from a technical perspective;
- Contribute to IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) by identifying RRP-IT update needs, coordinating tests, and participating in ITSCM meetings;
- Define and evaluate monitoring requirements and data for IT Service Managers and other stakeholders;
- Review and approve infrastructure and
- related solutions, including system process adjustments and technical integrations;
- Support training and knowledge transfer to country subsidiaries in coordination with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Config, Request Fulfillment);
- Implement and uphold authorization structures in adherence to IAM VW standards;
- Manage penetration tests, assessments and security findings fixes;
- Identify risk findings through vulnerabilities, security incidents, audits, logging and other security programs and determine how to integrate these into the risk management;
- Contribute to company infrastructure and security assessments, including operational tasks automation;
- Supporting internal and external audits;
- Maintain procedure documentation and contribute to the management of ISMS policies;
- Monitor loggingand event systems, following up on alerts as appropriate;
- Work in sync with product manager and release manager;
- Keep the documentation of the application lifecycle up to date.
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in technical application management, IT operations, or requirements engineering;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Application Security or related areas;
- At least 2 years of experience in requirements engineering related to processes;
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, application lifecycle management, and enterprise architecture;
- Experience with
Open
Text Service Management (SMAX), ITSM, Operation Orchestration, and Reporting;
- Strong analytical and
- solving skills;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities;
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements;
- Team player with a collaborative mindset;
- Structured,
- oriented, and proactive working style;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
- Experience with
ITIL processes and service management tools;
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, patch management, and certificate lifecycle;
- Knowledge of ITSCM principles and practices;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
German is a plus.
