We are looking for a Tech Lead Backend to lead engineering teams in remote/hybrid setups across Portugal (Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra).

Work Setup: Hybrid (One day per week
- site)

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience developing backend systems in Java with knowledge of Spring Boot
• Experience designing
  - scale distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker and managing orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience designing REST APIs and working with relational databases (SQL)
• Strong technical leadership skills, able to guide teams and make architecture decisions
• Experience managing engineering teams, including performance management

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality backend solutions
• Provide technical guidance and make architecture decisions in complex distributed systems
• Ensure delivery of projects on time while managing risks and dependencies
• Mentor and develop team members , including performance evaluation and career growth
• Collaborate with business directors and stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
• Participate in system design reviews and support technical

• Navigate fast-changing priorities and provide clarity in ambiguous environments
