A position to a Technician (Reference REQUIMTE 2025-78) in the scope of project “SEC-MODE - Detection of emerging contaminants through mobile devices” (Operation No. 17171, operation code in the COMPETE 2030 Funds Desk COMPETE 2030-FEDER-00864800),
- financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Innovation and Digital Transition Program (COMPETE 2030) of Portugal 2030 and by FCT/MECI through national funds, is available at REQUIMTE.

Monthly salary: Level 14 of the Single Salary Table (TRU) 1. 337, 30 Euros

Applicable Legislation: Portuguese Labour Code, approved by Law 7/2009 of February 12, in its actual form.

The technician to be hired will develop activities foreseen within the scope of the SEC-MODE project, namely:

• Development of solid supports for the extraction of pharmaceutical compounds;
• Quantification of pharmaceutical compounds by direct spectrophotometric techniques or after chromatographic separation;
• Image analysis for quantitative purposes.

Admission requirements:

• Integrated Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences;
• Proven experience in the development and/or implementation of analytical methods.

In case the Master degree was awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 66/2018 of 16th August, and all formalities established therein must be complied with at the signature of Fellowship contract.

Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto.

Selection criteria

The Evaluation of the Scientific and Curricular Trajectory (APCC) of the candidates will be carried out considering the profile suitable for the activity to be developed, with emphasis on the relevance, quality and suitability to the activities to be performed. In particular, elements from the last five years of activity will be valued.

Based on the requirements defined above, the quantitative evaluation of the candidates' profile will be carried out taking into account the following parameters and their respective weighting:

• A. Suitability of the candidate for the execution of the activities to be developed (0-100 points);
• B. Research experience proven by the CV (0-100 points).

The final classification will be presented on a scale of 0-100 points, based on the criteria mentioned above and their respective weighting, with the following formula:

APCC = A*70% + B*30%

In the case of admitted candidates whose evaluation does not differ more than 10% from that obtained by the best positioned candidate, the jury will interview the best positioned candidate and the candidates in this situation.

The final score of each jury member is obtained by the following assessment: 90% scientific and curricular career evaluation and 10% interview.

Only candidates who obtain a classification equal to or greater than 50% in the parameters indicated above will be eligible.

Candidates will be directly informed by email about the result of their application. The ranking of the candidates will be published at a visible and public area of REQUIMTE facilities.
