As a Substation Automation Tender Specialist, you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe team, serving the Southern Europe region. We are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced professional based in one of our offices in Paço de Arcos, Madrid, Milan, Rome, or Zagreb.

In this role, you will lead the tendering process from initial request to contract signing and hand over to operations. Your responsibilities include preparing bids, estimates, and quotations aligned with customer specifications, ensuring
- quality, competitive, and profitable proposals. You will operate within the substation automation market, managing a variety of tenders—from turnkey projects to products and services—across Southern Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tendering process from initial request to contract signing and hand over to operations, including preparation of bids, estimates, and quotations aligned with customer specifications to ensure
  - quality, competitive, and profitable proposals.
• Define the scope of supply to be offered with close collaboration with operations.
• Cooperate with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
• Perform cost calculations and determine costs, margins, and sales prices in cooperation with sales.
• Plan tenders and ensure
  - time tender submittals.
• Provide technical support to sales during and after early pursuit stages and support contract negotiations.
• Prepare tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.

Your Background

• Higher education (e. g. , Bachelor or Master’s degree) in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control and protection solutions.
• Good knowledge of the grid automation market.
• Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes would be an advantage.
• Good command of English is mandatory; Spanish, French, Italian, Croatian, or other Balkan languages would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 20%.
