Test Automation Engineer
Objectives:
As a member of the VWFS Porto Test and QA team, you will be responsible for developing test automation solutions for projects and initiatives ensuring the highest ROI is achieved, as well as maintaining and extending existing automation suites. You will work alongside VWFS Porto test automation engineers as well as 3rd party colleagues both Onsite and Offshore.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Planning, developing, and executing automated test cases
Working with Agile methodologies
Monitoring test executions in the CI pipeline
Reporting results to the testing team and stakeholders
Ongoing maintenance of automated regression packs
Participating in root cause analysis activities for defects found
Working with Project teams to ensure any planned changes to functionality are covered by the regression test suite
Assessing impact to new or changes to existing functionality
Review and prioritize requests for automation
Participating in code reviews with other Test Automation Engineers to ensure test scripts meets the coding standards
Collaborating with global teams and 3rd party suppliers
Researching and reviewing tools that can benefit existing ways of working
Advocate for quality within VWFS teams
Level of

Allocation of work to test automation engineers both onsite and offshore
Supporting proposals for further automation
Technical decisions on how best to automate
Proposing new tools, methods, processes to improve quality of the Technical Test function
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
Bachelor's or master's degree in informatics, computer science or comparable
Previous experience in automation testing, as well as design, development, and execution of automated & manual test scripts
Strong experience in automation tools like Playwright or Selenium
OOP foundation knowledge, ideally with C#
Experience in using application lifecycle management tools (HP ALM, TF, JIRA)
Experience with version control systems (GIT)
API testing
Experience in working in an international team/ project team
High degree of initiative, responsibility, assertiveness, and willingness to travel
Positive and
- minded person with effective communication and presentation skills
Speaks & writes English fluently
Nice to have/Considered a plus:
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Automation Engineering (CTAL-TAE)
Experience working in an Agile environment
Knowledge in Wholesale or Retail Financing, Leasing and Fleet Business
Proficient in written and spoken German
Experience in performance tests
