Job Description
Therapeutic Specialist
Gilead Sciences Inc. is a

Gilead has played a fundamental role around HIV, leading in innovations that transform treatment and patient care. The role focuses on regional and account planning, patient access, and
- functional collaboration to enable HIV therapies.
Specific responsibilities
- Prepare business plan regional and account plans for your territory aligned to local brand plan priorities for HIV, communicate required actions to achieve goals. With guidance, initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans.
- Identify and map patient referral journey pathways within the HIV territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
- Achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
- Work with Regional Market Access, Medical, and Marketing to ensure local access for HIV Gilead medicines.
- Establish and develop relationships with key customers, accounts, and key opinion leaders. Set and achieve customer contact plans and related KPIs.
- Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other expenditures.
- Represent the company at professional events and promote products where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Gilead Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Marketing and Market Access on
- functional projects. - Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to Marketing and Sales management.
- Complete administrative tasks timely (e. g. , updating customer database, expenses).
- Achieve the competency levels required in the role and comply with country regulations and code of conduct.
- Role may require travel and overnight stays depending on location.
Knowledge, experience and skills
- Passion for commercializing breakthrough medicine with a strong competitive and commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen, and a patient &
- centric approach. - Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required; experience with HIV therapeutics is preferred.
- Scientific degree in Sciences, Pharma or related field.
- Established contacts with relevant customers and solid scientific expertise to stay current with new data.
- Ability to digest original publications and talks; understands how HIV services are delivered.
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead and build working relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to develop relationships with key opinion leaders and communicate with senior leaders.
- Proven experience in account planning and
- functional account management. - Self-motivated with autonomy; able to work in
- functional teams. - Familiarity with industry trends and competitive practices; strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and provide recommendations.
- Availability to travel is required.
