Total Rewards Associate Manager
We are seeking a Total Rewards Associate Manager to lead the delivery of compensation and benefits programs in Portugal. This role plays a key part in shaping an equitable and competitive rewards experience, partnering closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate enterprise Total Rewards strategy into Portugal execution plans and improvement roadmaps.
- Provide market intelligence (surveys, benchmarks, trends) to inform salary structures, incentive designs, benefits portfolio, recognition, and wellbeing programs.
- Draft and recommend updates to guidelines, frameworks, and toolkits (e. g. , salary ranges, job architecture, eligibility).
- Conduct scenario modeling and cost/impact analyses to support policy refinements and annual budget planning.
- Own the

- end annual compensation cycle for the assigned scope (promotions, adjustments) including tools readiness, data accuracy, manager enablement, and controls. - Administer and optimize benefits programs (medical, life, disability, retirement, flexible benefits, wellbeing), ensuring service quality and employee experience.
- Coordinate the job evaluation and market pricing.
- Maintain and operationalize policies and guidelines; ensure alignment with equal pay, human rights, tax, and local labor legislation.
- Prepare for audits, ensure documentation, and process controls are current, and remediate findings.
- Support expatriate/transfer cases.
- Build and maintain compensation and benefits dashboards; deliver clear insights to HR/Business leaders.
- Serve as primary TR point of contact in the assigned scope; resolve escalations and guide exception handling.
- Plan and deliver communications and enablement (guides, FAQs, manager briefings) that are clear, compliant, and employee friendly.
- Partner with Talent to embed
- based ranges and TR guidance into offers, support offer reviews for critical hires. - Establish standard work, SOPs, and quality controls, drive process simplification and automation.
Qualifications
- +5 years of experience in Total Rewards/Compensation & Benefits.
- Bachelor's/master's degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, Business/Finance, or related field.
- Solid knowledge of compensation structures, salary ranges, incentives, and benefits plan administration. Knowledge of regional labor law and benefits market practices.
- Experience with pay equity diagnostics, recognition/wellbeing programs.
- Advanced Excel.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
- Spanish (nice to have).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
