NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Guimarães Public Transport Decarbonisation (CNC – PT) and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overarching objective of this assignment is to deliver advisory support for the development of the Guimaraes Municipality Bus Rapid Transit and Sustainable Urban mobility plan projects, in an integrated and coordinated manner, aiming at accelerating the decarbonisation of the transport system in the Municipality.

Location: Guimaraes, Portugal

Duration: The intended start date is February 2026 and the services shall be provided for a period of 20 months from this date.

Key Expert: Transport Engineer / Planner Lead – BRT Workstream Coordinator (Cat. I)

Qualifications and skills:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, urban or transport planner, architectural degree or related field (Minimum requirement).
• Working command of English language (CEFR C1) (Minimum requirement).
• Knowledge of Portuguese language will be considered an asset.

General professional experience:

• At least 15 years' professional experience in the passenger and urban transport sector (Minimum requirement).

Specific professional experience:

• At least 12 years of advisory or delivery experience on passenger transport projects (Minimum requirement).
• Specific knowledge and experience of planning and/or design of urban and suburban passenger transport infrastructure projects (LRT, BRT, bus priority, depots, passenger facilities), as demonstrated by the expert's involvement in at least 5 different projects of the kind in the expert's CV (Minimum requirement).
• Specific BRT planning and/or design experience will be considered an asset.
