Treasury Trainee

The main objective of the trainee function in the treasury department is to have people who will develop skills in areas directly linked to the financial markets, in particular the money, foreign exchange, fixed income and equity markets. The elements will have to carry out tasks related to the management of liquidity and the proprietary portfolio, counterparty relationships, as well give support to the commercial areas within this dominion of activity, in a rationale of progressive evolution given the complexity of the functions in this scope. The learning cycle is therefore progressive, and the level of responsibility assigned will depend on the experience and pace of learning the necessary skills.

Main responsibilities

• Assessment of main knowledge of financial markets
• Technical assistance to the team concerning IT tools used
• Elaboration of daily financial reports
• Support to the Portfolio management
• Support to the transactional process under TED responsibility (Money Market, FX market, Fixed income and Derivatives instruments)
• Market research
• Relation with institutional counterparties

Accountability

The TED Trainee is directly accountable to the Dpt Desks Managers, and/or the Managing Director depending on the headcount status. After a period of experience, the Trainee can have individual goals to deliver.

Experience and academic background

It is mandatory to have at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or Mathematics. Preference will be given to a master’s degree. Any experience of tasks performed in an environment of stress and teamwork could be an extra positive consideration.
