Role

Unix Architect – 5+ years experience.

Location

Lisbon, hybrid.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Linux/Unix infrastructure, manage VMware virtualization, script with Bash and Python, design LAN/WAN/MAN networks, implement routers, switches, load balancers and security components, develop strategic infrastructure plans, conduct audits and vulnerability assessments, lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with LAN/WAN/MAN network design and implementation.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, load balancers, and security components.
• Ability to develop strategic infrastructure plans.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and their business impact.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience with firewalls, encryption, and security tools.
• Ability to perform audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
