Value Stream Leader
SRAM Portugal is looking to strengthen its team by hiring a Value Stream Leader to be part of a major local operational expansion by coordinating a global team to build and train a new value stream. Overall, this role is to oversee the entire flow of work for a product or product family (a value stream) – coordinating people, processes, and resources from supplier input through production to customer delivery to ensure performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of the assigned value streams to maximize customer value and deliver business objectives;
Plan, coordinate and control the activities of assigned value streams, in alignment with company targets;
Prepare and organize weekly status report with progress, risks, and next steps;
Create
- up documentation (roadmaps, trackers, reports);
Support the leads of each assigned value stream in prioritizing and clarifying actions;
Make informed and timely decisions, enabling smooth project progress and issue resolution;
Ensure 360° communication, maintaining clear, consistent, and assertive communication with teams, senior leadership and all stakeholders;
Keep the environment, health and safety conditions fully controlled and according to company strategy;
Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and handled, as well as promoting compliance with safety and health standards to minimize the occurrence of accidents at work;
Provide strong leadership, guiding
- functional teams with confidence and clarity;
Mentor and support large project teams, fostering professional growth and promoting a culture of excellence;
Establish and monitor key performance objectives for the assigned value streams to deliver on the identified customers’ needs and business requirements;
Lead, participate and dynamize Lean projects;
Ensure efficient planning of equipment and human resources related to the assigned value streams.
Requirements:
Minimum B. Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the bicycle or automotive industry;
Good knowledge of bicycle industry organization structures, standards, workflows, operating procedures and terminology (desirable);
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power
Point);
Portuguese and English proficiency (written and spoken);
Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and practices;
Proven experience managing large teams and supporting their growth;
Good
- solving skills with experience of developing & implementing customer focused solutions and resolving high level operational challenges;
Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement;
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and the ability to handle multiple priorities;
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
