Vendor and Commercial Manager

About the Role
We are now recruiting a Vendor & Commercial Manager – a strategic role responsible for shaping how Pepco manages IT budgets, supplier partnerships, and commercial agreements. This is a
- impact position at the core of our new IT organisation, helping us ensure that technology investments are efficient,
- governed, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Track and report IT spending, including software licenses, subscriptions, cloud consumption, and hardware assets.
- Lead cost optimisation initiatives across IT services, software, cloud, and infrastructure.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Legal to ensure transparent financial governance and alignment with business strategy.
- Oversee supplier contracts, renewals, and commercial negotiations to secure favourable terms and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure commercial agreements with key vendors are compliant,
- governed, and legally sound. - Develop and maintain vendor management and financial risk frameworks to reduce organisational and
- related risks. - Manage strategic relationships with key technology vendors from a financial and commercial perspective.
- Provide regular financial insights and reporting to IT and business leadership to support
- making. - Ensure procurement processes, spend, and supplier governance meet compliance and business requirements.
Education Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Business, IT, or related field.
- Qualification in procurement, financial management, or contract law (desirable)
- Training in IT financial planning, forecasting, or asset management.
- Knowledge of IT procurement and vendor management best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimisation and software asset management.
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years in IT finance, procurement, or vendor management.
- Experience in financial planning, cost control, and reporting.
- Strong background in contract negotiation and supplier governance.
- Experience working with IT leadership on budget management.
- Knowledge of IT asset tracking and cost optimisation strategies.
Required Knowledge, Technical, Professional and Soft Skills
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to align financial strategy with IT and business objectives.
