Your responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage VMware v
  Sphere environments (ESXi hosts, v
  Center Server).
• Create and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and clones.
• Monitor and optimize system performance across hosts and clusters.
• Manage roles, permissions, and security policies in v
  Center.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform regular environment health checks.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in the virtualization stack.
• Ensure proper management of VM snapshots and support backup configuration.
• Automate tasks using Power
  CLI or other scripting tools.
• Support
  -
  - code initiatives.
• Plan and execute upgrades of ESXi, v
  Center, and VMware products.
• Assist in P2V and V2V migrations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports on resource usage, uptime, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with sysadmin, datacenter, network, storage, and backup teams.
• Provide support for VM-related requests from internal teams.
• Provision, allocate, and manage storage volumes (LUNs, shares, etc. ) for servers.
• Configure and monitor SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) environments.
• Manage storage tiers, pools, and RAID configurations.
• Perform capacity planning, reclaim unused storage, and balance workloads across systems.
• Optimize storage performance using caching, deduplication, and compression.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures, disk errors, and connectivity issues.
• Perform firmware and microcode updates on storage hardware.
• Collaborate with vendors to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.

Qualifications

You must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience with VMware ESXi (e. g. , infrastructure patching/upgrades, network configuration, hardware and platform troubleshooting).
• VMware VCP Certification.
• Proven experience with Storage platforms (e. g. , volume provisioning, zoning configuration, infrastructure patching/upgrades).
• Strong critical thinking and
  - solving skills.
• Proactive mindset.
