Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Experience in Vulnerability Management: Minimum of 3 years working in enterprise vulnerability programs, with hands‑on experience in scanning, triaging, and tracking remediation efforts across diverse environments.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of industry‑standard platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Microsoft Defender for Vulnerability Management, with the ability to configure scans, interpret findings, and generate meaningful reports.
- Risk Scoring and Patch Management Knowledge: Deep understanding of vulnerability scoring systems (e. g. , CVSS), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), and how these inform patching and risk remediation workflows in coordination with IT operations.
- Conduct Comprehensive Scanning and Assessments: Perform regular vulnerability scans across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring complete asset coverage and alignment with the organization’s risk posture.
- Risk‑Based Prioritization: Analyse scan results to evaluate exploitability, threat intelligence relevance, and business criticality, translating technical findings into actionable risk levels.
- Remediation Oversight and Escalation: Assign vulnerability owners, monitor mitigation progress, and escalating overdue or high‑risk findings to ensure timely closure in accordance with internal SLAs and compliance frameworks.
- Tool and Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the vulnerability management platform and systems such as the CMDB, patching engines, and ticketing tools (e. g. Jira) to support workflow automation and data consistency.
- Reporting and Metrics: Generate and maintain dashboards and reports that provide technical teams with remediation guidance while delivering executive‑level overviews of vulnerability trends, risk exposure, and program effectiveness.
- Good Behavioral and communication skills
- Automation and Scripting Skills (Preferred): Familiarity with scripting languages (e. g. , Python, Power
Shell) to automate tasks, integrate toolsets, or enhance reporting capabilities is considered a strong advantage.
